The Bishop Gorman High sophomore could be following in the Bryant family’s footsteps.

It’s been nearly four years now since Kobe Bryant tragically passed away in a helicopter crash, but his legacy continues to strongly live on until this day. Bryant’s “Mamba” mentality is ingrained in countless basketball players, both young and old, and his memory seems to be everlasting.

Jett Washington, Bryant’s nephew, wants to expand Bryant’s legacy and forge his path to the NBA. He’s off to a great start, as he recently dropped 33 points at the Los Angeles Lakers’ Crypto.com Arena during a high school basketball game.

After the game, Washington said “it means a lot playing in the house he built and playing where he played”.

Washington plays for Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, where he’s a sophomore standing 6-feet-4-inches tall. His basketball future is bright, but he’s also an extremely talented football player.

A highly regarded four-star wide receiver, Washington has already gotten offers from Georgia, Washington, Nebraska and more. Whichever sport he decides to pursue, he seems to have a great chance of succeeding.

With the Mamba mentality in his blood, the youngster is primed to make a lasting impact wherever his path may lead.
