Arsenal face harder Premier League title run-in than Liverpool and Man City as race enters final 10 games

ARSENAL

Mikel Arteta’s side will have to beat off Liverpool and reigning champions Manchester City if they want to win the league for the first time in 20 years.

As Premier League football pauses for the international break, Arsenal are currently in the driving seat.

The Gunners sit level on points with second place Liverpool, but boast a superior goal difference.

Meanwhile, Man City sit in third, one point behind.

We have of course been here before, though.

Arsenal sat at the summit of England’s top flight for a majority of last season, but slipped to second as Man City took advantage of them losing key star William Saliba to injury and their lack of squad depth.

Just like last term when they lost out on winning the title by five points, there will be little room for any error in the final 10 games of the season this time around.

Now, two sets of stats show the Gunners have the hardest run in out of all three sides looking to lift that all-important Premier League trophy.

The run in – Opponents’ points per game

Arsenal’s run in:
March 31: Manchester City (A)
April 3: Luton (H)
April 6: Brighton (A)
April 13: Aston Villa (H)
April 20: Wolves (A)
April 27: Tottenham (A)
May 4: Bournemouth (H)
May 11: Manchester United (A)
April 19: Everton (H)
TBC: Chelsea (H)
