West Ham United has struck a £27 million deal to bring Germany striker Niclas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund to their squad. The 31-year-old forward, who netted 15 goals in 46 appearances during his debut season with Dortmund, showcased his talent in the Bundesliga and contributed to the team’s runner-up finish in the Champions League. His move to Dortmund last summer from Werder Bremen was for £12.6 million.

In addition to his club success, Niclas Fullkrug scored twice in Germany’s journey to the quarter-finals at Euro 2024, despite not starting any games.

Seeking to bolster their attack, the Hammers have been exploring options and have also engaged in talks with Aston Villa regarding their Colombian forward Jhon Duran.

West Ham’s new manager, Julen Lopetegui, has been proactive in the transfer market. The club has already secured Wolves captain Max Kilman for £40 million, Sheffield United goalkeeper Wes Foderingham, and Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras for £25.5 million.

Additionally, West Ham is eyeing Manchester United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Leeds United’s Dutch forward Crysencio Summerville as potential signings.
