Sunderland sign Leeds winger Poveda

Sunderland have signed winger Ian Poveda from Leeds United on a three-year deal with the option of an additional year.

The 24-year-old Colombia international spent the second half of last season at Sheffield Wednesday and was released by Leeds this summer.

Plymouth sign Iceland defender Palsson

Plymouth Argyle have signed Icelandic international Victor Palsson on an undisclosed contract.

The 33-year-old central defender joins from Belgium side KAS Eupen where he made 36 appearances last season, scoring two goals.

Sheffield United sign Posh skipper Burrows

Sheffield United have signed Peterborough captain Harrison Burrows for an undisclosed fee on a four-year deal.

The 22-year-old, who can play on the left of defence or midfield, had been with Posh since the age of six and scored both goals in their EFL Trophy final victory against Wycombe last season.

Cardiff sign Hertha Berlin striker Kanga on loan

Cardiff City have completed the signing of Ivory Coast striker Wilfried Kanga on a season-long loan.

The French-born 27-year-old joins the Championship side from German Bundesliga 2 club Hertha Berlin.

Blackburn sign Gueye, Ohashi, Mafoumbi & McFadzean

Blackburn Rovers have made four signings in the space of 24 hours.

The Championship club have brought in three new strikers – Makhtar Gueye from Belgian club Molenbeek, Yuki Ohashi from Sanfrecce Hiroshima and teenager Exauce Mafoumbi from FC Nantes – all on three-year contracts.

They have also brought 37-year-old centre-back Kyle McFadzean back to the club on a one-year deal.

Stoke sign striker Gallagher from Blackburn

Stoke City have signed striker Sam Gallagher from Blackburn Rovers for an undisclosed fee.

The 28-year-old, who joined Rovers from Southampton in 2019, has signed a three-year deal to become Potters boss Steven Schumacher’s fourth summer signing – in marked contrast to the summer of 2023, when the club brought in 19 players.

Baggies sign striker Cole following Barnsley exit

West Bromwich Albion have signed Devante Cole on a two-year deal following his exit from League One side Barnsley.

The 29-year-old former Manchester City youngster – the son of former Arsenal, Newcastle, Manchester United and England striker Andy Cole – becomes Albion’s fifth summer signing.
