Kasper Schmeichel, after leading Denmark at Euro 2024, has signed a one-year deal with Celtic. He reunites with Brendan Rodgers, his former manager at Leicester. Celtic needed a replacement for Joe Hart, who retired at the end of last season.

Celtic signed former Leicester and Nice goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel on a one-year deal. The Denmark captain spent last season with Belgian side Anderlecht but announced his departure earlier this week. Celtic needed a new goalkeeper after Joe Hart retired.

Schmeichel reunites with Brendan Rodgers at Parkhead. They worked together and won the FA Cup and Community Shield at Leicester. Schmeichel expressed his excitement about joining Celtic and working with Rodgers again. He looks forward to meeting the team in America and connecting with Celtic fans.

Schmeichel aims to keep Celtic on top and bring more success to the club. Rodgers is pleased to bring Schmeichel’s experience to the team as they defend their Scottish Premiership title next season. Rodgers trusts Schmeichel and believes he will feel right at home at Celtic.

Celtic also signed goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo, 22, from Aston Villa, expecting Schmeichel to mentor him.
