Djokovic Beats Rune and Criticizes Fans

Novak Djokovic defeated Denmark’s Holger Rune to make it to his 15th Wimbledon quarter-final, but he wasn’t happy with the crowd’s behavior. Despite dealing with a stomach issue, Djokovic won 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 on Centre Court. Fans were loudly cheering for Rune, and Djokovic interpreted this as booing. He felt disrespected, saying, “I’ve been on the tour for more than 20 years – trust me, I know all the tricks, I know how it works. You guys can’t touch me.”

Djokovic, aiming for his eighth Wimbledon title and a record 25th Grand Slam win, will next face Alex de Minaur, who defeated Arthur Fils.

Fritz’s Stunning Comeback Against Zverev

American Taylor Fritz made an incredible comeback, beating fourth seed Alexander Zverev after being two sets down. Fritz won 4-6, 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 to advance to the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the second time. Fritz broke Zverev’s serve for the first time in the third set and secured a decisive break in the final set.

Musetti’s Triumph Over Mpetshi Perricard

Lorenzo Musetti reached his first Grand Slam quarter-final by defeating lucky loser Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. Musetti adapted his game after losing the first set to win 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-2. Mpetshi Perricard, who celebrated his 21st birthday during the match, impressed with his serves and trick shots but couldn’t overcome Musetti’s consistent play.

Musetti, thrilled with his progress, said, “I’ve been dreaming of this moment since I was a kid. I always had a really beautiful family that always supported me.”

De Minaur Advances to Quarter-Finals

Australian ninth seed Alex de Minaur also secured a spot in the quarter-finals by beating France’s Arthur Fils. He won with a score of 6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 on Court One, marking his first appearance in the Wimbledon quarter-finals.
