Roy Keane calls Erling Haaland a ‘SPOILED BRAT’

This happened after his furious reaction to being substituted as Man United legend continues war of words with City striker

Roy Keane returned fire on Sunday in his war of words with Erling Haaland, calling the Manchester City striker a ‘spoilt brat’.

The former Manchester United captain slammed Haaland for his angry reaction to being substituted against Wolves on Saturday, after the Norwegian was taken off having scored four goals.

Keane, speaking on Sky Sports, said: ‘We saw Haaland brought off, not too happy, behaving like a spoilt brat. When you have the spat with the manager and you’re star man… it doesn’t help if results aren’t going your way, but because they win the game and he scores goals, it’s almost forgotten about.’

When asked if it was OK for Haaland to be annoyed at being substituted, Keane continued: ‘No, no. No, it’s not.’

In March, Keane — who had several run-ins with Haaland’s father Alf-Inge during his playing days — described the Norwegian’s general play as that of a League Two striker, which led to Haaland hitting back following City’s win over Wolves. Haaland’s response was short and to the point as he said: ‘I don’t really care that much about that man, so that’s all right.’

Keane had previously said: ‘The level of his general play is so poor. In front of goal he’s the best in the world, but his general play for such a player… it is poor. He has to improve that. He’s almost like a League Two player.’
